Gathering to Worship
the Living God

In our member churches, every gathering is an encounter with God — through Scripture, song, prayer, and the proclamation of the Gospel.

Light and worship — encounter with God

Word-Centered, Spirit-Led Worship

Worship is the lifeblood of the church. In our fellowships, we gather not primarily as audiences but as a community of believers responding to the grace of God with hearts full of gratitude and reverence.

Evangelical Baptist worship is centered on Scripture — the reading, exposition, and application of the Word of God is the heart of every gathering. We believe God speaks through His Word, and that the Holy Spirit uses the preached Gospel to convict, comfort, and transform those who hear.

Our congregations express this worship in varied styles — from traditional hymnody to contemporary praise — but share a common conviction that form must serve substance, and that every element of worship should draw the gathered people closer to the God who reveals Himself in Jesus Christ.

Elements of Baptist Worship

Each element of our corporate worship is drawn from Scripture and carries deep theological meaning for the gathered community of believers.

📖

Scripture Reading

The public reading of God's Word is a form of worship in itself. In our churches, passages are read reverently and with care — in French, English, or both.

🎙

Expository Preaching

The sermon is the proclamation of God's Word — explaining the text, applying it to life, and calling the congregation to respond in faith and obedience.

🎵

Corporate Singing

We believe singing together is a form of teaching and encouragement. Our congregations sing hymns, psalms, and spiritual songs to the Lord with heart and voice.

🙏

Prayer

Corporate prayer — confession, intercession, thanksgiving, and praise — is a vital expression of the church's dependence on and communion with God.

💧

The Lord's Supper

Observed regularly in our churches, the Lord's Supper is a memorial and proclamation of Christ's death until He comes — a moment of profound reflection and renewal.

Baptism

Believer's baptism by immersion is celebrated as a public declaration of personal faith — a joyful community moment as new believers are welcomed into the covenant family.

Baptism & The Lord's Supper

Evangelical Baptists observe two ordinances — baptism and the Lord's Supper — as outward signs of inward grace, instituted by Christ Himself.

Baptism by Immersion

We practice baptism of believers only — those who have personally confessed faith in Jesus Christ. Baptism by immersion best symbolizes the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ and the believer's new life in Him.

Baptism is not a means of salvation but a response to it — a joyful public declaration before God and the church that one has died to sin and been raised to new life in Christ.

The Lord's Supper

The Lord's Supper is observed in remembrance of Christ's atoning sacrifice. Through the bread and cup, believers proclaim His death until He comes, examine their hearts, and renew their commitment to Him and to one another.

Our churches welcome all who have placed their personal faith in Jesus Christ to participate — making the Table a gathering point for the whole family of God.
