Who We Are

About Our Fellowship

A family of evangelical Baptist churches committed to Scripture, united in mission, and rooted in the grace of God.

Stained glass window symbolizing faith and community

Evangelical. Baptist. Québécois.

We are a fellowship of churches that hold the Word of God as the supreme authority in all matters of faith and practice, and the Gospel of Jesus Christ as the only hope of the world.

The Groupement d'Églises Baptistes Évangéliques, Région du Québec — known in English as the Fellowship of Evangelical Baptist Churches, Quebec Region — is a voluntary association of evangelical Baptist congregations serving the province of Québec. We are affiliated with the Fellowship of Evangelical Baptist Churches in Canada (FEB Canada), one of Canada's largest evangelical denominations.

Our fellowship exists to serve the local church. We are not a governing hierarchy but a collaborative family — sharing resources, encouraging one another, and working together toward the shared goal of a multiplying, healthy, and vibrant evangelical witness throughout Québec.

Our Core Convictions

Rooted in the historic Baptist confessional tradition, we hold fast to the foundational truths of the Christian faith.

📖

The Authority of Scripture

We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God — the only rule for faith and practice in the life of the believer and the church.

The Gospel of Grace

Salvation comes by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. Jesus' death and resurrection is the only basis of forgiveness and eternal life.

🌞

The New Birth

Every person must be personally born again by the Holy Spirit through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ to enter the Kingdom of God.

💧

Believer's Baptism

Baptism by immersion is the public declaration of personal faith in Christ, reserved for those who have confessed Jesus as Lord and Saviour.

The Local Church

The local congregation of baptized believers is the God-ordained community for worship, discipleship, accountability, and witness in the world.

🌐

The Great Commission

The church is called to make disciples of all nations — sharing the Gospel, baptizing, and teaching all that Christ has commanded until He returns.

How We Serve Our Member Churches

  • Leadership development programs and workshops
  • Church planting coaching and support
  • Shared curriculum and ministry resources
  • Regional gatherings and inter-church fellowship events
  • Connections to national and international Baptist networks
  • Crisis support and mediation services for congregations
Our Programs & Services
Church community in fellowship
"How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation."
Isaiah 52:7

Serving Québec in French and English

The Fellowship embraces the linguistic reality of Québec, serving congregations in both official languages with equal commitment.

Francophone Ministry

Many of our member congregations worship, preach, and minister entirely in French. We produce resources, provide training, and host gatherings in French to serve the majority-language community of Québec with excellence. Reaching French-speaking Quebecers with the Gospel is one of our deepest convictions and most urgent priorities.

Anglophone Ministry

English-speaking congregations are a vibrant and valued part of our fellowship. We serve these churches with equal dedication, offering English-language resources, events, and support. Many of our English-speaking churches also actively engage in cross-cultural and bilingual ministry, building bridges across Québec's communities.
