Why We Exist
The Fellowship of Evangelical Baptist Churches, Quebec Region exists to glorify God by equipping and uniting evangelical Baptist churches to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ, make disciples, and serve their communities — rooted in the authority of Scripture and energized by the Holy Spirit.
How We Live Out Our Mission
Our mission is expressed through four interconnected commitments that shape every aspect of our fellowship's ministry.
Biblical Faithfulness
All we do is anchored in the Word of God. We are committed to the faithful exposition of Scripture — in preaching, teaching, counselling, and church governance. We help our churches develop cultures of biblical literacy, expository preaching, and sound doctrine.
We believe that a church faithful to Scripture is a church equipped for every good work — and that the Bible itself is the primary instrument the Holy Spirit uses to transform individuals and communities.

Gospel Proclamation
Québec is one of the most mission-critical provinces in Canada. With a historically Catholic heritage and significant post-Christian realities, the need for clear, gracious, and compelling Gospel proclamation has never been greater.
We resource our churches for evangelism — training members, equipping preachers, and planting new congregations in communities where the Good News has yet to take deep root. Every church in our fellowship is a missionary congregation.

Discipleship & Formation
Making disciples means more than decisions — it means walking with people from new birth to mature faith. We invest in discipleship frameworks, small group ministry, mentorship programs, and spiritual formation resources that help believers grow in Christlikeness over a lifetime.
We also invest deeply in pastoral formation — because healthy churches are led by healthy pastors who are growing personally in their walk with God and their understanding of His Word.

Compassionate Service
Faith without works is dead. Our member churches are active participants in the social fabric of their communities — running food banks, supporting newcomers, partnering with local agencies, and meeting practical needs in the name of Christ.
We believe that evangelism and social compassion are not in competition but are complementary expressions of the same Gospel that declares both spiritual freedom and human dignity.
The Unique Challenge & Opportunity of Québec
Québec is a distinctive mission field. Its history, shaped by centuries of Catholic institutional religion and, more recently, rapid secularization, means that many Quebecers carry a complex religious heritage — deeply spiritual in some ways, and deeply skeptical in others.
Evangelical Christianity represents a small but vital and growing presence. Our fellowship sees Québec not as a spiritual wasteland but as a province full of people who are hungry for authentic community, meaningful transcendence, and genuine hope.
Our mission is to meet that hunger with the truth and love of Jesus Christ — in French and English, in urban centres and rural villages, among long-established families and recent immigrants — until the whole province has heard and had the opportunity to respond to the Gospel.
