Loving Our Neighbours,
Serving Our Communities

The Gospel we proclaim is demonstrated through compassionate, practical, and sustained engagement with the communities where our churches are planted.

Faith Expressed Through Service

We believe the church's presence in a community should be felt before the doors of the building ever open. Our member congregations are called to be the most caring, most engaged, most generous neighbours in their communities.

This is not separate from our Gospel mission — it is an expression of it. When we feed the hungry, welcome the stranger, visit the sick, and care for the vulnerable, we embody the love of Jesus Christ in concrete and transformative ways.

We encourage and equip our member churches to engage their communities with wisdom and compassion — meeting real needs, building genuine relationships, and creating pathways for people to encounter the God who loves them.

How Our Churches Serve

Across the Quebec region, our member churches are engaged in a wide variety of community service initiatives.

Food bank and community support
Food Security

Food Banks & Pantries

Many of our churches operate or partner with community food banks, providing weekly or monthly food support to individuals and families experiencing food insecurity. These programs serve hundreds of households each month across the region.

Several churches also offer community meals — open tables where anyone in the neighbourhood is welcome to share a hot meal, conversation, and connection.

Newcomer integration services
Newcomers & Immigrants

Newcomer Welcome Programs

Québec receives tens of thousands of newcomers each year. Many of our member churches have developed specialized ministries to welcome and support immigrants and refugees — offering language classes, cultural orientation, employment assistance, and friendship.

These programs have led to the formation of vibrant multicultural congregations and lasting intercultural friendships across the region.

Youth after-school programs
Youth & Families

After-School & Youth Programs

Our churches run after-school homework help, tutoring programs, and structured activities for children and teenagers — providing safe, supportive environments that benefit the whole community.

These programs also provide critical support for working parents and single-parent families, addressing a very practical community need.

Senior support and care
Senior Care

Senior Support & Visitation

Loneliness and isolation among seniors is a growing community challenge. Our churches organize regular visitation programs, driving services, companionship groups, and practical support for elderly community members living alone or in care facilities.

These ministries of presence and care reflect the Gospel's call to honour and love the most vulnerable among us.

Collaborating for Greater Impact

We believe we can accomplish more together than alone. Our member churches actively partner with local agencies, schools, health services, and civic organizations to maximize their community impact.

These partnerships are built on mutual respect and a shared desire for community wellbeing. While our motivation is rooted in Christian conviction, we welcome collaboration with any organization committed to the flourishing of people and communities in Québec.

If your organization is interested in partnering with a member church or with the Fellowship at the regional level, we would be glad to have a conversation.
